Updated on: 01/30/2026.
Maatdesk and its subsidiaries know the importance of protecting your personal information, and we take this task very seriously. This Privacy Policy comprises how we store, use, and protect your personal information across our multiple platforms. Besides the information provided on this page, you are always welcomed to ask any questions you may have related to data privacy and protection, and invite you to email us anytime at info@maatdesk.com.
Data privacy laws, rules, and regulations are always evolving. Therefore, we reserve the right to update this Policy from time to time, which you will know by the last updated date posted above. Likewise, if there are any material changes, we will notify you via email or by posting a notice in our software. Nevertheless, if you use any of our sites and/or services, it will constitute an acceptance of any revisions made.
How we collect and use personal and non-personal information
Maatdesk collects information required to grant you access to our websites and services. Information about others linked to the use of our services is also collected. For instance, we may collect contact information you willingly provide such as names, addresses, geographical data, and phone numbers, whether through our Websites or Services. We also collect your interactions with us via telephone, email, and in-person as deemed necessary. This allows us to better understand how you access and use our Services and helps us improve our communication with you.
Besides the information you provide, non-personal and technical information about you and your devices is collected while you interact with our Websites or Services, whether that includes your IP address, browser type, internet provider, and viewed pages. This allows us to personalize your experience on our Websites as well as improve our Services.
Maatdesk does not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third-party applications or external entities for marketing purposes.
Third-Party Account Credentials
When you connect third-party services such as Gmail™ or Outlook through secure OAuth authorization, Maatdesk accesses limited data strictly necessary to perform user-requested actions (for example, viewing or linking emails, or syncing calendar events). We never store passwords or raw credentials.
Any information collected from third-party accounts will be handled strictly in accordance with the internal security terms in this privacy policy and will not be shared with outside applications.
Use of Google User Data
Maatdesk integrates with Google APIs to enhance productivity for our users. Specifically, we use Gmail™ and Google Calendar integrations under strict user consent and following Google’s API Services User Data Policy.
Gmail™ Data
When a user connects their Gmail™ account, Maatdesk uses the gmail.modify scope only to allow users to apply existing Gmail™ labels to emails they choose to link to a Matter within our platform.
We do not read, store, share, or send any emails, nor do we create or delete labels. All actions are performed explicitly by the user through the Maatdesk Gmail™ Add-on.
Google Calendar Data
When users connect their Google Calendar, Maatdesk uses the calendar.readonly and calendar.events scopes to enable them to view, create, update, and delete calendar events on their own behalf within the Schedule module.
All operations occur only when initiated by the user. We do not access calendar data in the background or share it with third-party applications.
All Google user data accessed via OAuth is:
- Used only to provide the requested functionality
- Processed temporarily in memory (not permanently stored)
- Never shared with any external entity or third-party application.
- Handled in full compliance with Google’s user data and privacy policies.
Users may revoke Maatdesk’s access to their Google data at any time from their Google Account permissions page.
Internal Service Providers
Maatdesk may utilize service providers to perform essential internal business functions such as data hosting and payment processing. These providers are strictly prohibited from using, sharing, or selling your information for any purpose other than providing the specific contracted service to Maatdesk. They must adhere to rigorous confidentiality and security obligations consistent with this policy.

We collect information about constituencies that interact with our Services anonymously to understand how our customers use our site. We may anonymize any information that can be used to identify you personally by using advanced techniques. We aggregate information in a way that personal or sensitive information is not disclosed, and your usage data is never sold to third parties.
Data Retention
Maatdesk collects information only for as long as is necessary for legitimate business purposes or as required by law. Data obtained via Google APIs (such as Gmail or Calendar) is never stored on our servers beyond the duration required to complete the user’s requested action.
